Should a good cause go without a website simply because it has no budget?
Every day, people dedicate their time, energy and sometimes their own money to helping others. They support families, care for animals, protect the environment, bring communities together and make a difference in countless other ways. Yet even the most valuable initiative can struggle to reach people without a clear, accessible website.
I want to help. Through CraftIN Web, I am offering my website development work completely free of charge to nonprofits, volunteers and initiatives that benefit the community.
There is no fee for my agreed development work, no mandatory paid service and no requirement to purchase anything from me. This is my way of putting my skills to good use.
What does the free website service include?
Not every organization needs a brand-new website. Sometimes an existing site simply needs a fresh design, better navigation, mobile-friendly layouts or technical improvements.
Depending on the project's needs, I can help with:
- Creating a new website — from the initial structure to a functioning website.
- Redesigning an existing website — improving its appearance, layout and usability.
- Fixing and improving a website — resolving agreed technical issues and updating outdated elements.
- Publishing prepared content — adding text, images, videos and other materials supplied by your organization.
- Making information easier to find — organizing content, navigation and page structure so visitors can better understand your work.
We will agree on the scope and technical approach before starting. The goal is not to build the most complicated website possible, but one that genuinely helps your initiative.
Who can apply for a free website?
This offer is intended for organizations, groups and individuals working for the public good rather than primarily for commercial profit.
That may include charities, nonprofit organizations, volunteer groups, animal welfare initiatives, environmental projects, community support networks, educational initiatives and other projects with a meaningful social purpose.
Official charitable or public-benefit status is not required. Informal volunteer teams and individual community initiatives are also welcome to apply. What matters most is understanding the positive impact of your work.
Is it really completely free?
Yes. My agreed website development, redesign or improvement work is free of charge.
However, a website may still require third-party services. Domain registration, domain renewal and web hosting are not included. Any necessary paid licenses, subscriptions or external services would be discussed before you take on any costs.
Your organization provides the content to be published, including text, images and videos, together with the necessary rights to use those materials. I can help organize and publish this content within our agreed project scope.
You are free to use your existing hosting provider or choose one that suits your needs. There is no requirement to buy hosting or a domain through me.
How to apply
You do not need a lengthy proposal or a complicated technical specification. Just tell me who you are, what your initiative does, how it helps others and what kind of website assistance you need.
If you already have a website, include its address. If you need a new one, briefly describe what you would like it to contain and what materials you have available.
Email me at info@craftin.lv or use the CraftIN Web contact page. Written communication is preferred, as it allows me to review your needs carefully.
I review requests individually based on their public benefit, the work involved, technical feasibility and my available time. Applying does not guarantee acceptance, but genuine community-focused initiatives are encouraged to get in touch.
Frequently asked questions
Is the website really free?
Yes. I do not charge for the development work we agree upon. Hosting, domains and any necessary third-party paid services are separate.
Can you improve an existing website?
Absolutely. This offer also covers agreed website redesigns, repairs, updates and modernization.
Do we need to be a registered charity?
No. Volunteer groups and informal community projects can also apply if they have a genuine social purpose.
Does the free service include ongoing maintenance?
Not automatically. The agreed development work is free, while ongoing maintenance or additional work can be discussed separately. There is no mandatory paid contract.
If you help others, let me help you
I cannot solve every problem in the world, and one website certainly cannot do that either. But a good website can help people find support, discover a useful initiative, volunteer their time or become part of something meaningful.
If my skills can help you make that happen, I would be glad to contribute.
