Custom WordPress plugins, back-office tools, content fields, frontend features and theme-aware integrations.
Plugin and module development
Plugins and modules built around what you actually need.
Sometimes an existing WordPress site or PrestaShop store is missing just one essential feature. Instead of replacing the entire platform, I build and adapt plugins, modules and carefully designed connections to other systems.
The value of an extension is not its feature count. It is how well it fits the existing platform, how reliably it works and whether it can be maintained after the next update.
Who this is for
- A WordPress site needs a specific feature that an off-the-shelf plugin cannot provide cleanly.
- A PrestaShop store needs tailored product, order, delivery or back-office functionality.
- An installed plugin or module has a defect, breaks after an update or needs adapting to a real workflow.
- The website needs to exchange data with an external API without replacing the existing platform.
What we can build
Plugin and module development
PrestaShop modules, store extensions and tailored data handling compatible with the installed platform version.
Repairs and improvements to existing plugins and modules, compatibility checks and carefully scoped maintenance.
Web API connections, structured data exchange, validation, access control and actionable error logging.
How the work proceeds
Plugins and modules built around what you actually need.
- 01
I check the platform, PHP and extension versions, existing code, licensing and available access.
- 02
We agree on one clearly defined feature and its boundaries. Development avoids modifying core platform files wherever possible.
- 03
I test security, failure scenarios and platform compatibility in a suitable environment, then document installation and upkeep.
Frequently asked questions
Plugin and module development
Do you only work with WordPress and PrestaShop?
These are my main platforms for custom extensions. Other open-source systems can be assessed individually where documentation and a safe extension model are available.
Will platform updates still be possible?
I use supported extension mechanisms whenever possible, but compatibility with every future platform version cannot be guaranteed. Major upgrades should be tested before going live.
Can you fix an existing plugin or module?
Often, yes. The first step is to review the available source code, licence, underlying defect and platform version. Sometimes a separate extension is safer than modifying third-party code directly.
